Overview

Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, India, is a reservoir on the foothills (Shivalik hills) of the Himalayas. This three km² rainfed lake become created in 1958 through damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal movement coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally, the seasonal glide entered the lake at once in flicting heavy siltation. To test the influx of silt, 25.forty two km² of land become obtained with inside the catchment location and placed below vegetation. In 1974, the Choe become diverted and made to pass the lake completely, the lake being fed through siltation pots, minimizing the access of silt into the lake itself.

Shikara Boat Ticket Price –

Rs 450 for two people for half-hour.
